This page is part of the merge with Pikmin Wiki, and needs resolving. Please bear with us as we do so.

Before the import, this subject had a page both on Pikipedia and Pikmin Wiki. You are currently reading the Pikipedia version, and the Pikmin Wiki version can be found here. Both versions need to be manually merged together and placed on the current page.

The Cosmic Archive is a treasure found in the game Pikmin 2. It is actually a Family Computer Disk System disk of the game Nazo no Murasame Jou (Mysterious Murasame Castle or Murasame's Mysterious Castle in English). This treasure is found on Sublevel 3 in the Hole of Beasts, and it is best to take out the fire geysers prior to retrieving it; alternately, Red Pikmin may be issued to carry it. The writing on it is as follows:

ファミリーコンピュータ™ディスクシステム

SIDE A 謎の村雨城™

©1986 Nintendo MADE IN JAPAN

Which means "Family Computer Disk System", "The Riddle of Murasame Castle". The writing on the top is present for all Family Computer Disk System games.

Notes

Olimar's journal

The cave we searched today was lined with flame-spewing spouts! The temperature in the cave was absolutely stifling. Oh! That reminds me! I completely forgot to tell Louie about red Pikmin! He's so quiet, I sometimes forget he's even there. This item I salvaged from the cave seems to be some kind of storage device, but I have no way to play back the contents.

Sales pitch

All worldly matters, from time's start to its end, are said to be recorded in this historical vault! It is so huge, decoding it all is impossible. Its mere existence is said to make one philosophical.

Trivia

  • Interestingly, this treasure is not the only connection between Pikmin and Mysterious Murasame Castle. In WarioWare: D.I.Y., a microgame based on Mysterious Murasame Castle is present in the Japanese version, but has been replaced with a Pikmin microgame in the localized versions.
