A KopPad is a device very similar to a Wii U Gamepad. It is seen in a screenshot released on March 6th, 2013. Alph uses it to communicated with Brittany using a video (and presumably an audio) feed. Not much is known about this device. It's a possibility that this picture, featuring the communicator, could be a part of a cutscene describing the plot of Pikmin 3.
The name derives from the word "pad" and the name of their home planet, Koppai.
