I see you've created a new article about [[PNF-404's asteroid]]. This article is really well-written, and I can tell you've put a lot of effort into it, but unfortunately, I don't think it really fits on Pikipedia. Much of the article is speculative (particularly in the ''Pikmin 3'' and ''Pikmin 4'' sections), and it seems to attribute too much plot significance to something that's fairly minor, especially in the ''Pikmin 2'' section. Really, all these crashes could better be attributed to the fact that something is up with PNF-404 in general, and in this case, that could just be documented on the [[PNF-404]] article. But that's just my opinion. :Thank you :) I think it's useful because it's solely responsible for most of the plot movement in every game apart from ''Pikmin 2'' (P1? All. P3? Until you find Charlie. P4? Until you find Olimar, and then you still have the castaways to find until the end. HP? All). The fact that almost every game has '''a''' crash landing caused by this foreign object, let alone around 50 of them now makes me think it warrants an article for inclusion, minor or not. It may be speculative for ''Pikmin 3'', but it is kind of obvious what the culprit is for that crash, isn't it? Their actual presence in ''Pikmin 4'' also suggests what happened when castaways entered the planet's orbit (like a nudge nudge, wink wink moment), so I don't think that is speculative. ::Personally I think it’s way too speculative (although well-written). In P3 and P4, it’s never explicitly stated what caused the crash (and barely hinted to be one object, P3 frames it as a technical malfunction and P4 says nothing), so covering those as if it was an asteroid is too speculative for the wiki. Also, it’s hugely unlikely that it’s the same body each time, as a post-human world would have a whole ton of space junk floating about up there, any of which could be the cause. This would be a good article to put as a userpage subpage, and then you can link out to it (not within the wiki, mind you) when you want to show somebody all the known info on debris orbiting PNF-404. Besides, it couldn't be just one asteroid doing all this, it would have to be multiple, and that makes it more a feature of PNF-404 than of an asteroid. Also, it's way too speculative to say that every single crash in ''Pikmin 4'' was because of an asteroid just because some asteroids are visible in the ending cutscene. :::Just looked through a few dialogue trees in ''Pikmin 4''. Mika mentions a "loud noise" before the tourist ship crashed, and Olimar explicitly says "I never imagined that a meteorite would hit the ship". I think this serves as confirmation for P4. Honestly, I named the article after a single asteroid because it's way more intruiging to think it's all the result of the same thing, like it has some weird will of its own. I still think it is worthy of actual inclusion on this wiki, and so I'll retool the article a tiny bit, "PNF-404's asteroid field" is probably a better name. This wiki is pretty strict on even the slightest speculation, especially when it comes to important series lore. For example, we never have and will never document the umibozu theory, despite it being the most popular Pikmin theory. It’s true that Olimar was hit by a meteor in 1 and 4, and that he dodges one in 2, and that 3’s crash was due to some mysterious force exerting control on the ship, and that 4’s castaways suffered their own crash-landings for various reasons. However, we should document those pieces separately since they are the facts; it’s not our job to try and piece them together. We provide the base information for others to do that.
