So what, exactly, is the definition of a 'changed treasure'? Something like the Abstract Masterpiece definitely belongs on this list, but where is the line drawn in regards to treasures like the Mysterious Remains (identical but for the location) or Arboreal Frippery (identical but for the textures). :That is what I hope to answer with this page. By listing absolutely every change, it could help us better decide what we should and shouldn't use as criteria. — {EspyoT} 08:32, 3 December 2016 (EST)

All right then. I'll list all the American to Australian changes I am aware of. I think there might be something in the Cook's Arsenal Series I missed (the Broken Cooking Tool or something), but I'm almost up to the Shower Room in a replay of Pikmin 2 I'm doing anyway.
*Arboreal Frippery: Texture changed from green to red.
*Mysterious Remains: Moved from the Cavern of Chaos (4) to the Snagret Hole (6).
*Drone Supplies: Changed from Underwood Devilled Ham to Haribo Sweets, moved from Submerged Castle (4) to Glutton's Kitchen (4)
*Endless Repository: Changed from Beach Cliff Sardines to a can of baby clams, moved from Shower Room (5) to Dream Den (12)
**The Perfect Container is the same tin of Beach Cliff Sardines, and is found in the Subterranean Complex (7)
*Nutrient Silo: Moved from Hole of Heroes (6) to White Flower Garden (1).
*Stringent Container: Changed from Clabber Girl baking powder to Meidi-ya corned beef, moved from Dream Den (12) to Hole of Heroes (6).
**The Survival Container is the same Clabber Girl baking powder can, but is found in Glutton's Kitchen (2).
*Abstract Masterpiece: Changed from a Snapple lid to a Pschitt lid, moved from Shower Room (6) to the Perplexing Pool overworld.
*Alien Billboard: Moved from White Flower Garden (1) to Dream Den (13).
*Hypnotic Platter: Changed from an A&W cap to a Vita-malz cap, moved from Dream Den (13) to the Awakening Wood overworld.
*Happiness Emblem: Changed from a Squirt bottle cap to a Fristi bottle cap, moved from Glutton's Kitchen [4 (G), 2 (W)] to Shower Room (5).
*Activity Arouser: Changed from a Wilson cap to a Sinalco cap, moved from Submerged Castle (3) to Citadel of Spiders (2).
I have not explored the Japanese changes at all, nor anything that might've changed file names, but I hope this helps. Phineas81707 (talk) 04:09, 4 December 2016 (EST)
:Thanks, though I'll want to go through every single treasure (by internal name), and check every single difference, from scratch, just to make sure that this time, once and for all, we get absolutely everything. There are so many platform/region combinations that we just have to take this approach... — {EspyoT} 08:34, 4 December 2016 (EST)
Rule proposal
With the table now complete, I propose the following rules for organizing treasure pages.
# Any internal treasure that has no table difference is obviously the same treasure and only deserves one article, even if the Japanese name or Japanese series name is different. Example: Indomitable CPU.
# Any internal treasure that only has differences in one or more of the following points counts as the same treasure. Examples: Repair Juggernaut, Decorative Goo:
#* Treasure Hoard number
#* Series
#* Value
#* Weight
#* Max. carriers
#* Minor appearance changes (e.g. Flame of Tomorrow)
# Otherwise, treasures are considered different and must have their own page.
I was thinking of considering two treasures that only change name, location, or appearance, as the same treasure, but there's far too few of them to be worth it. This ruleset should make the pages far cleaner (amongst other things, each page would only have one infobox (...except P3 fruits)), and easier for players to follow. Thoughts on this plan? — {EspyoT} 17:36, 19 December 2016 (EST)
