==Template:Featured image==
Hey, I noticed you recently edited [[Template:Featured image]], and mentioned in the edit summary that it would be nice if more images were added. A while ago I thought it would be a nice idea to completely revamp that template, and go through Pikipedia's entire file catalogue to choose a good set of high-quality images for the template. I kind of wanted to do it, but with over 10,000 images, searching them all for good ones would not be a fun task. Were you planning on going through images to add to the template? If you were, can I help with the task? If you weren't, do you think it would be a good idea to set up a featured image system on Pikipedia? :If there were far fewer than 10,000 images and I wasn't already so busy cleaning up the Pikmin Fanon, I would consider going through them all. Reimplementing the featured image system would be a splendid idea. It could cycle through images the community considers high-quality. The template could be placed on the left side, and where I think it would fit best is on the right of, or below, on mobile, the featured article template. {{User:Cheepy/sig}}

:::Reviving the templates would be nice, though having them both on the front page wouldn't be a good idea. By themselves they might not have enough content to be varied and useful enough, but if either one shows up, decided at random, it would be more interesting. Plus, adding too much content to the front page isn't a good idea. Readers should be able to find what they want easily, from all facets of the wiki. The featured image and excerpt templates are good ways to browse for random content, but they're not as central as actual categories and such.
