It is found on top of a snowman's head in the [[Valley of Repose]], near the [[Frontier Cavern]].

After clearing a path, be wary of the [[Armored Cannon Larva|Armored Cannon Beetle Larva]] buried near the treasure. This beast has the vantage of location, so it can be difficult to attack. Alternatively, a lone [[leader]] can be used as a decoy to distract the Armored Cannon Beetle Larva. If a leader uses the [[Five-man Napsack]] to [[lie down]] directly behind the enemy, the Cannon Beetle Larva will turn around and repeatedly shoot boulders at the wall. This creates ample opportunity for [[Purple Pikmin]] to follow the second leader up the slope, which can then be used to swiftly kill the enemy.
Because of its position, the treasure itself can be difficult to get Pikmin to carry. They often cannot reach the ground while holding it, and take a long time to maneuver into a suitable position. The best approach to collection is to throw Pikmin at all sides of the crown. [[Yellow Pikmin]] are recommended for this, as the treasure is somewhat high. Purple Pikmin are also viable, as only 3 are required to move the treasure. Moving the corpse of the Armored Cannon Beetle Larva, along with any [[pellet]]s dropped by the enemy, down the slope is also effective in getting the treasure down quickly.
