Has anyone noticed that this thing seems to laugh at the pikmin after it blows on the pikmin?
Has anyone that this thing seems to laugh at the pikmin after it blows on the pikmin?

Its giggling always made it one of the most annoying enemies. Wouldn't ya know it, though, the one time I needed the two in Wistful Wild to deflower my Pikmin (tee-hee), I had already killed both the previous day. I wanted my Pikmin to be able to suck up as much extra nectar as possible so I could get the most spray globs out of the Secret Bugs.

Does it realy giggle? I don't have pikmin2 so I never heard it.

:I thought it was just inhaling again...--

::It's a different action. I can't say for sure it giggles, but that's certainly what it sounds like.

:::It OINKS! <b><span style="color:Blue">~Crystal</span></b><b><span style="color:Black">Lucario~</span></b> 21:45, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

I suppose it could oink like the firery blowhog, but since it has more in common with the non-oinking Puffy blowhog I just don't see it... Nin10dude

wtf? it does giggle! NIN10dude

Crystal? how does a high pitched "Hubububu" with a bit of a slapping noise sound like oinking? Or are you talking about the
land based ones? Either way its just an opinion.--Prof. 20:12, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

I always thought that the Withering Blowhog was laughing at me... I can't remember, does it only "laugh" if a Pikmin is hit by the attack? Because if that was the case, it would seem that it was laughing.  <span style="color:blue">Portal-</span><span style="color:orange">Kombat</span>

:Errr... it was a joke...

Hmmm, didn't know it kinda giggled. Anyways, how the hell does the Rocket Punch hit it? Does it also work with the Puffy Blowhog? And I don't think they make a quick escape. They just die...

If you go to the Piklopedia, and look at the Withering Blowhog, then toss Pikpik Carrots, it will still giggle after it blows them so that proves it has nothing to do with the Pikmin...Falcoz 01:44, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing it just likes torturing plants of all kinds.

"ダタラ" may come from Tatara (furnace), famous for using huge bellows.
"アオケ" may come from "青毛", but this word means black fur, though Withering Blowhog's color is vivid orange.
I'm not sure what this name means... -PortableSunset (talk) 20:13, March 13, 2021 (EST)
