:::: How is this a glitch? Unless I'm not understanding something, the Pikmin was lucky to never get eaten, which sounds like something that could happen with almost every enemy in the game. Miles. 18:46, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

:::::Hey yeah, this isn't a glitch... OMG rare moment, the mighty Miles talks! Oh all knowing Miles, when will humans grow gills?

In this concept art, the Water Dumple is portrayed with whisker-like objects growing above its lips. Those are whiskers right? I think they are because in the game's coding it's named catfish.<span style="color:blue">Pikmin</span>'<span style="color:orange">1254</span>

:Yeah, they do have whiskers, because as you said, it's coding is catfish. You can also slightly see them in Pikmin 2, but I'm not usre about Pikmin 1. BTW, nice find.--

Scooching Dumples
I'm not sure if it happens on the original hardware or if it should be mentioned anywhere in the article at all, but Water Dumples in Pikmin 2 seem to scooch forward every few seconds if a leader or their Pikmin are close to it but not close enough to cause it to give chase. I've seen it happen multiple times, but I want to make sure if anyone else has seen this behavior. My Wii is currently hibernating, as I call it. Otherwise, I'd check to see if this happens on my copy of the game. It also might be worth checking if Water Dumples do this on the New Play Control! version of the game as well.
:I just tried both on the GameCube and the Wii games, and I couldn't get them to move at all, even after a good 30 seconds. They sit in place completely oblivious forever, until I get close enough and they give chase; there is no middle-ground. I tried this on the Valley of Repose and the Perplexing Pool ones. &mdash; {EspyoT} 10:01, December 13, 2020 (EST)
::Strange... Maybe it's just a thing with Dolphin. Thanks for checking anyway, Espyo.
