:Welcome! Yep, the idea is to have one article per treasure. Feel free to create them at will; when you're presented with the text box where you write the new article's content, there should be some buttons that preload a treasure article outline. You can use that to get one step ahead. — {EspyoT} 04:04, 31 July 2017 (EDT)

::Right, now after looking around for a while, I have a potentially embarrassing question: how exactly do I create the new articles? I don't see an option for doing so anywhere on the side menus, and I don't get any option to create new pages when searching for an article that doesn't exist. I have noticed a few pages for some treasures that don't have any text in them (ie. have a yellow link), but it says I don't have permission to create those pages. Is it because I'm a new user? :::Don't be afraid to ask. There's a button to create new pages with on the main page, but the ways you used also work. Unfortunately, very new users cannot create pages. I'll see what we can do about lowering this restriction (which only existed because of spambots). — {EspyoT} 05:48, 1 August 2017 (EDT)
"Actions" in Pikmin 4
In Pikmin 4, some treasures can preform Actions, such as the Stone of Advancement opening and closing, and the Mechanical Harp playing a song. Should this be documented? GoldPikmin (talk) 00:42, September 12, 2023 (EDT)
Update treasure names to the ones in the Switch port of Pikmin 2
To remain consistent with the renamed enemies matching their current names, I suggest renaming the article names for certain Pikmin 2 treasures to match their new names in the Switch port. 104.28.57.219 23:13, April 25, 2024 (EDT)
Pikmin 2 reigonal differences, version differences, and names
Pikmin 2s region-based treasure differences are plenty complicated, and their coverage on the wiki currently is rather messy, especially considering the recent Nintendo Switch port that consolidates all regions. There are a few issues and potential solutions to them that have been discussed on the Pikipedia Discord server, which I will list so that they can get on-wiki discussion and feedback before possible implementation.
Pikmin 2 on Nintendo Switch is the most recent version of the game
Currently, we still document treasures with priority on their appearances in the North American Nintendo GameCube and Wii versions of the game. This is inconsistent with wiki policy, and it is probably warranted to update infoboxes, move some pages, and rewrite introductory paragraphs. As for object lists in areas and caves, I propose that we have individual treasure lists for each console.
For lists that are unchanged across consoles and regions, they would remain the same.
* Treasures:
**
**
For lists with differences between consoles, they would be duplicated and marked for their respective consoles.
* Treasures:
** Nintendo Switch
***
***
** Wii
*** (US) / Survival Container (Europe) / Milk Lid (Japan)
*** Imperative Cookie
** Nintendo GameCube
*** Massive Lid (US) / Survival Container (Europe) / Milk Lid (Japan)
*** Imperative Cookie
Japanese treasures and their names
The Nintendo Switch version of Pikmin 2 includes Japanese names for many of the treasures previously only in the American and European versions, and many of those names are the same as different treasures from the original Japanese versions. As compiled by 2 B on Talk:Broken Cooking God:
*Broken Cooking God to Broken Food Master
*Lightning Bolt to Impediment Scourge
*Love and Courage Reactor to Courage Reactor
*Omegatron to Durable Energy Cell
*Proton X to Proton AA
*Universally Best Art to Abstract Masterpiece
*Yell Battery to Fuel Reservoir
And 4 other treasures which have similar names to existing Japanese treasures, but not the exact same:
*Milk Lid and Massive Lid
*Idea Assistant and Creative Inspiration
*Understood Person Symbol and Optical Illustration
*Seat of Enlightenment and Pondering Emblem
I think all of these should be merged. Given that Nintendo saw it fit to consider these treasures the same, it seems obvious for us to do the same. For the ones that aren't though, I believe we should use the original Japanese names, rather than the unofficial translations we have now. Coiny The Refined is not a name that's ever been used officially, but its the name of the article despite it already having an official one, Haisensu zenī. --PopitTart (talk) 01:26, May 30, 2024 (EDT)
:I agree that most of this pages should be merged, but I'm not sure using the original Japanese name for treasures is a good idea. It would be way harder for someone to search for "Haisensu zenī" than "Coiny The Refinied" and the translation helps understand what a treasure is about way better. The fact that the translation isn't official should be stated on the articles though. — GGabryy(talk) 21:22, June 6, 2024 (CET)
