:The transformations over time could still be random, but the initial state could be the same every day. One way to check would be to start a day, wait like 5 minutes, check the pattern, then start a new day, wait 5 minutes again, and check then. — {EspyoT} 10:18, September 14, 2020 (EDT) | :The transformations over time could still be random, but the initial state could be the same every day. ::OK, I did some testing with a time-lapse video of the color changes on an onion with just Red and Rock Pikmin (because my current save hasn't unlocked Yellows yet), and found that not only is it the same each day, but the color swirls are actually a looping pattern that lasts just 10 seconds. I assume this is the case with other Onion stages, although I don't know if the loop length is different. It's definitely not random though. - Botanist (talk) 01:37, September 15, 2020 (EDT) | ::OK, I did some testing with a time-lapse video of the color changes on an onion with just Red and Rock Pikmin (because my current save hasn't unlocked Yellows yet), and found that not only is it the same each day, but the color swirls are actually a looping pattern that lasts just 10 seconds.
