In Japanese, both bell pepper and tomato is "{{j|野菜|Yasai}}"(≈"vegetable"). 
"野菜" means edible plants which can be harvestable within a year.

== Split ==
In my opinion, we should split the article into generic mistakes and biological mistakes/lore/anomalies since these are often connected [[User:Super-mario|Super-mario]] ([[User talk:Super-mario|talk]]) 09:58, August 15, 2024 (EDT)

:I don't think a split would be necessary; biological mistakes are a subset of more general mistakes, as they're essentially mistranslations or just simple accidents, and lore loopholes and the like aren't really on this page. Sure, it mentions some inconsistencies, but I wouldn't consider those lore. It doesn't mention, at least, to my knowledge, the discrepancies between the numbered games and ''Hey! Pikmin'', for example, which is what I'd consider more lore-related.
