It's not mine, but I've discovered a new world record for all fruits speedrun in Pikmin 3. Can I add it to the article?

:Sure. Just remember to add it to the correct row in the table. — {EspyoT} 10:51, June 24, 2019 (EDT)

Maximum Pikmin Challenge
Curiously, I can't seem to find any info on just how many Pikmin can be sprouted in the first game outside of Challenge Mode, given the 30 day time limit. I see "High Pikmin Count" in the Challenge run section, but has anyone ever actually done the math to determine the maximum number of Pikmin growable on each of the 30 days, with or without getting a non-bad ending? --

Low-day run articles
Pikipedia has several articles describing low-day runs. These are the 5 day run for Pikmin 2, the 6 day run for Pikmin, and the 7 day run and 10 day run for Pikmin 3. The 5-day run and 6-day run pages have been moved multiple times as the minimum number of days has decreased, and arguably the 10-day run page should have been moved since a 9-day run is now possible, just extremely difficult. There is no low-day run article for Pikmin 4 yet, as there are multiple runs for different levels of completion – 9 days for rescuing Olimar, 13 days for curing Oatchi, 14 days for completing all areas 100%, and 33 days for completing all missions. This raises the question of how to document these. Should there be separate articles for each, or 1 article covering all 4 challenges? I think the latter option is better, because separate articles would have a lot of overlapping content. But if we had a "Pikmin 4 low-day run" article, what if we did the same thing for the other games? This would have the advantage of being able to describe multiple variants of the challenge on the same page. A 5-day run of Pikmin 2 requires difficult glitches to do and an 8-day run is more feasible, so both challenges could be described on the same page, showing both the theoretical limit and a practical guide. The Pikmin 3 low-day run article could cover the 7-day, 9-day, and 10-day challenges. This would also provide an opportunity to rethink the structure of these pages, which are currently mostly strategy guides. What do people think of this idea? — Soprano(talk) 17:28, February 1, 2024 (EST)
:I would really, really prefer it that way, it makes much more sense. "Low-day run of Pikmin 3" or "Pikmin 3 low-day run" as you say, and so on with the rest. Aside from the reasons that you mention, it is also way more clear to the reader, because the "10 day run" article could easily refer to any of the four games to a not so-knowledgeable reader. I wonder that if this is done, it is also worth doing the same thing to the low Pikmin count articles. "50 Pikmin challenge" could easily refer to any of the games if you mention it to me without me thinking that much about it. Pikmin 2 has two of these challenges documented in this page but only one of them got a proper page. And Pikmin 4 has a pretty complex thing with its challenge that could really warrant a page in my opinion, plus it would benefit from documentation of a challenge that actually counts how many Pikmin do the player sprout, not counting what the game records. I don't know if pages for low day low Pikmin counts are worthy, but in general I do vote on doing pages named either "Low-Pikmin run of Pikmin 2" or "Pikmin 2 low-day run", and while we could do a general, like, "Pikmin 2 challenge runs" page covering both low days and low Pikmin, I would prefer having one page for each category per game. I wonder if this would conflict with the zero death challenge having one article merging the whole series, and if it is better to have it splitted of one article per game. -Kirbeat (talk) 00:25, April 5, 2024 (EDT)

:I see absolutely no benefit to the current names for either readers, who have no way of telling what game each article is for, or for editors, who need to keep moving and re-linking pages every time the records are lowered. Lets please do this. --PopitTart (talk) 18:40, November 4, 2024 (EST)

:::It seems that there is agreement to make this change. It will take some rewording and restructuring of articles to do, so they can't be renamed straight away, but I'll make the changes on each of the articles over time. — Soprano(talk) 20:06, November 4, 2024 (EST)

:::Agreed with all that's been said. I slightly prefer "Pikmin 3 low-day run" to "Low-day run of Pikmin 3" but I won't lose sleep over it. — {EspyoT} 07:22, November 5, 2024 (EST)

::::I think for a wiki article title it absolutely makes more sense to format it as "Pikmin 3 low-day run" more than "Low-day run of Pikmin 3", especially since the other formatting can just be a redirect for searching purposes -Gulliblepikmin 07:30, November 5, 2024 (EST)
