If we make the Side Stories Canon (which I'm sure they are) some parts of the article may need to be rewritten. The Non-canon section says that alternate game modes are non-canon which technically the Side Stories is an alternate Game mode. Now another thing which this could be debated on, Louie is present at the beginning of Olimar's Comeback so this could potentially mean that the ending for collecting all the fruit is non-canon as Louie's abscence is only noted in that ending. what do you think? For now, here are a few notes:
* Olimar's Assignment begins a day before Story Mode day 1, as Brittany is not present during Flower Garden, and Olimar finds the cosmic-drive key during Inside Forest.
* Olimar's Comeback must take place after the bad or neutral ending (or both), because of the reason you mentioned.

==How much detail?==
This article has recently expanded a lot in its "Overview of the canon" section. And I wonder if it's too large. The section does state it's an overview, so perhaps it should try to explain themes briefly so the game articles can explain it in more detail. But perhaps this article should be the home of story information and the section should be expanded in detail. It's worth noting that currently, over half of the section is about ''Pikmin 3'', and this imbalance should probably be addressed. We should replace the "Scope" section with the "Levels of canon" section. Then move the "Gameplay" section and "Endings" section there too, and explain how to correctly use them when writing in Pikipedia. {{unsigned|Flamsey}}

The canon policy should contain everything, it makes no sense to fragment it in 2. Also the idea of "promotional material" needs to much less vague. Stuff like the forum posts are canon, that is what they are meant to be. {{unsigned|Flamsey}}

On the [[Canon]] page, it says that ''[[Pikmin 4]]'' is an alternate version of ''[[Pikmin|Pikmin 1’s]]'' events, but ''Pikmin 4'' has a lot of content that doesn’t make sense in ''Pikmin 1’s'' place on the timeline, such as [[Louie]] being sent to look for [[Captain Olimar|Olimar]], having already been on a mission with Olimar, and then suddenly meeting Olimar for the first time as soon as Olimar returns to Hocotate, having only had 1 mission before, at the start of ''[[Pikmin 2|Pikmin 2.]]'' - [[User: ImError|I Am Error]] [[User talk: ImError|''(talk)'']]</sub> 12:33, August 5, 2023 (EDT)
