If you read the article, you can see that (at the moment) they're classified by the music that plays when they appear. The song that plays for when you encounter the Tusked Blowhog in the Hectic Hollows is the same song that plays for the Jumbo Bulborb, Mammoth Snootwhacker, and the Titan and Blizzarding Blowhogs. What you consider deserving of the title is irrelevant to how it's currently characterized. We're discussing ways to reformat the terminology to be as satisfying as possible while remaining objective, but it's hard without delving into subjectivity. - Bossclips (talk)

This is somewhat similar, but why is the Dwarf Bulborb considered a tough enemy? Bloxy

A better defenition than music
Music really isn't the way to define bosses; if bosses were defined by music, then the Dwarf Bulborbs in Cavern for a King would've been bosses. So my idea for a better defenition would be how much nectar it drops on freeze death. It does have one problem, namely that the final Boss and moss doesn't die when their health bars go to 0, so we can't say if they're a boss, but It's much better than saying that a dwarf bulborb is a boss. :I've added a list of frozen enemy drops to the Ice article. We could use this system, but then the Emperor Bulblax and Giant Breadbug wouldn't count as bosses, and both these enemies have boss music and are also bosses in previous games. Replacing the existing system with this one would also remove a lot of detail from the article. — Soprano(talk) 02:11, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
::Yeah, maybe. But we gotta find a defenition that doesn't include the 4 Dwarf Bulborbs, otherwise, it will just feel Weird. Mama09001 (talk) 03:31, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
:::I personally quite like the numbered gate list, it feels most sensible to look at a gameplay perspective. These enemy encounters lock you into a room and must be defeated in order to get out, which pretty well describes a boss fight. --PopitTart (talk) 03:45, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
