Olimar's overall appearance has been altered to better fit in with ''Super Smash Bros Brawl'''s art direction. His space suit's gloves appear dark orange rather than a bright red, and the suit as a whole contains details often seen on real-life spacesuits, including many seams and buttons. His head however was went through very few visual changes, with the only notable ones being his slightly darker hair and his eyes being rounded onto his head, instead of being straight and fully facing straight on like in {{p1}} and {{p2}} (both latter instances also being trait seen on his and [[Louie]]'s designs in future ''Pikmin'' games). His whistle appears much like it does in ''Pikmin 2'', but with a higher saturation and less defined circles. The Pikmin also similar to their ''Pikmin 2'' appearances, but with noticeably lower polygon counts and a slightly lighter colour on the Purple Pikmin.

Olimar's fourth alternate costume doesn't seem to match with anything in particular, though given the strange and specific colour choices it seems unlikely that it's not referencing something.
 
Olimar's fifth and final alternate costume appears to be based off of [[Louie]], given how otherwise unchanged it is from Olimar's default appearance. Interestingly, although it appears to be based off of Louie, it uses a much lighter due for the suit's accents, and Olimar does not gain blond hair to match Louie's.

Some parts of the stage are very out of proportion compared to their appearance in the ''Pikmin ''series. For example, The Bulborb is way more massive than it is the games. The Onions are also really small and their legs are at a steeper angle than they are in the games.

A new Hocotate Freight employee. Louie is responsible for Captain Olimar having to venture back to the Pikmin planet. On his first delivery, Louie was supposedly attacked by a space bunny that devoured his whole lot of pikpik carrots. Pushed to the verge of bankruptcy, Hocotate Freight takes out an enormous loan that Louie and Olimar set out to pay back.


In addition, this stage can also play the song ''Title (Big Brain Academy)'', which is a remix of the title screen themes of ''Big Brain Academy'' and ''Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree''.

There is a [[Glitches|glitch]] that can be done with Pikmin & Olimar. The more Olimars there are on the battlefield, the bigger the glitch will be. The "Green Greens" stage is necessary, and each of the Olimars may only have Red, White, or Blue Pikmin. These need to be thrown against the yellow blocks on either side. The Pikmin will continue to circle in mid-air, and large amounts of damage can be dealt by moving an opponent into it. This glitch could result in a crash if too many Pikmin are thrown.
