The Sunseed Berry is found sitting on a ledge just across from the landing site in [[Awakening Wood]], and can be quite easily obtained. It is guarded only by a single [[Bulborb|Red Bulborb]] and two [[Dwarf Bulborb|Dwarf Red Bulborb]]s. The ledge is low enough that any type of [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] can be [[throw]]n up to collect the treasure. Alternately, you can go around to the path that leads to the [[Snagret Hole]] and obtain it from there, but this is more time consuming, dangerous, and overall impractical.

In the [[Distant Tundra]], the only Sunseed Berry is inside one member of a duo of [[Pyroclasmic Slooch]]es, which are in an enclosed area sealed off by a [[crystal wall]]. Along the way back there is a [[Joustmite]] and a [[Bearded Amprat]]; defeat these as well to ensure the Pikmin have a safe route back to the ship.

A Sunseed Berry is the first fruit that Alph encounters on his exploration for food resources. It produces one and half container of juice to be consumed by the captains. The weight has somehow changed from 5 to 3. One is located next to where Brittany is found, and the other in the Garden of Hope is found on the other side of that area. The third Sunseed Berry is located in the Distant Tundra, inside one of the Pyroclasmic Slooches close to the landing site.

The Sunseed berry was also seen in the 2001 trailer for Pikmin, which shows five pikmin carrying it back to one of the onions. However it is unknown what the purpose of the Sunseed berry was, as it was removed before the game was released. It was likely another way to grow pikmin, or possibly a power-up of some kind. see [[Pikmin_Beta_Elements]].
A Sunseed Berry is sitting on top of a tall ledge on the far eastern side of sublevel 1 of the [[Seafloor Resort]]. It is blocked by the sprinkler system, so you must either build and turn the clay valve in the upper left corner, or bring only [[Blue Pikmin]] with you. To collect this treasure, jump into the [[geyser]] north of it, then throw 3 Pikmin at it.
