The '''Sputtlefish''' is a squid-like creature found only in ''[[Pikmin 3]]''. It is primarily found in the Garden of Hope area in the submerged parts. It has a cephalopodian body with a flower-like protrusion on top of its head and 2 tentacles for movement or eating Pikmin.  The Sputtlefish generally swims passively in its area, but when it sees Pikmin enter its range, it begin to swim upright and towards them. It will then try to grab Pikmin using its tentacles and eat them one at a time. If attacked by Pikmin, it can release an ink cloud which will cause Pikmin to scatter and allow the Sputtlefish to escape much like a real squid. As shown in its name, it lives in the water, therefore only [[Blue Pikmin]] can be used to harm it.
