Yup, this is one of the hardest challenge in the Pikmin Series. The Pikmin 2 Purple Pikmin Only Challenge is a very hard challenge where many people cheated (including text2purp) but is possible, but at the moment TAS only. (or HSS0136 only.)
Day 0 Segment 1
Map of things done in Day 0.
- Do the Day 1 extinction.
- Kill the Dwarf Bulborb.
- End the day after the soul appears but before you unlock Louie.
Day 1 Segment 1
Map of Day 1.
Overworld 1
- Don’t kill the Dwarf Bulborb. You will unlock Louie.
- Flower the Red Pikmin Sprouts. This is to not confuse the Wild Pikmin and the Regular Pikmin.
- Reunite Olimar and Louie.
- Put the Wild Pikmin (can be told by the leaves) in the Onion.
- Do the Dwarf Bulborb Clip.
- Enter the Emergence Cave.
Emergence Cave 1/2
- Go to Sublevel 2.
- Get 10 Purple Pikmin.
- Leave the cave.
Overworld 2
- Enter the Emergence Cave again.
Emergence Cave 2/2
Sublevel 1
- Get the Citrus Lump.
- Get the Quenching Emblem.
Sublevel 2
- Get 1 more Purple Pikmin.
- DO NOT GET THE SPHERICAL ATLAS!
- Save the game.
Day 0 Segment 2
- Do the Day 1 extinction again.
- Grind to get 15 Red Pikmin. This video shows how to do this trick. MAKE SURE THERE ARE 3 IN THE ONION!!!
- Save the game.
