The Sovereign Bulblax | The Sovereign Bulblax is large boss found in p4, and retroactively in P1 and Hp
The design of this enemy is that of a much larger Emperor Bulblax. The Sovereign Bulblax is extremely similar to the Emperor Bulblax that is fought at the end of p1. This is backed up by Olimar's Piklopedia entry about it, where it states that the Sovereign Bulblax is just a much older emperor Bulblax and that they lose their pack behavior and become solitary creatures. This could explain why the Emperor Bulblax in The Final Trial is the only one that appears in P1.

Sovereign Bulblax will hide underground until something disturbs them, where they will emerge suddenly roaring. Anything nearby will be knocked backwards. They will then start to attack the player and their Pikmin using 4 different attacks. The first attack is where the Bulblax sticks its tongue out and eats any Pikmin unlucky enough to get caught in it. The second attack is where the Bulblax roars, knocking all Pikmin and Oatchi away and into a frenzy, much like when Mitites appear. The third and final attack is where the Bulblax leaps into the air and crushes anything caught underneath it when it lands. Boulders will also fall after it lands back on the ground. Finally, if the player and their squad is underneath the Sovereign Bulblax while it is roaming around, the Bulblax can jump on the spot to crush anything underneath. if the player manages to escape the Sovereign Bulblax but leaving its territory, it will patrol its area and will not return back under the ground.

Using a large squad of high | Using a large squad of high damaging Pikmin, either Red Pikmin and/or Purple Pikmin, and charging them all onto the Bulblax's face using Oath's rush ability can deal a lot of damage very quickly. The main issue with this is the fact that the Sovereign Bulblax is much larger than other enemies and it can be hard to correct throw all you Pikmin onto their face. Player must also be carful of where they throw their Pikmin as if they throw them onto the Bulblax's mouth, and it does its tongue attack, a lot of the Pikmin will instantly be stuck to their tongue and can be ate.

* The name Sovereign Bulblax can be attributed to the large Emperor Bulblax encountered in Pikmin, as it is larger with tall vegetation on its back, as well as lacking pack behavior and crushing prey with leaps.
* | * The Sovereign Bulblaxes in Pikmin 4 shares an odd quirk with the one found in Pikmin, it will occasionally stop lumbering to lick its lips and look around.
