A '''Seeding Dandelion''' is a [[Dandelion]] which has flowered for long enough to be pollinated and produce a batch of fresh seeds, each attached to a fluffy white tuft. The tufts catch the wind and the seeds are swept from the plant so that they may land and take root in a new location. Seeding dandelions can be found in ''[[Pikmin 2]]'' and ''[[Pikmin 3]]'' and are used for scenery. Bumping into one will dislodge one or two seeds in ''Pikmin 2'', but it won't undergo any change. In ''Pikmin 3'', throwing a [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] into it will dislodge all its seeds. Apart from that, they have no particular function. They are one of the rarest species in ''Pikmin 2'', appearing in only one above ground area and one challenge mode level. They also appear in many levels of ''[[Pikmin Adventure]]''.

In {{p3}}, a Seeding Dandelion can be replaced by a regular [[Dandelion]], depending on the current day. The [[Dandelion]] evolves and finally becomes a Seeding Dandelion.
