From the design and proportion, it is likely a baby's shoe, or if not, a doll's shoe. It is found on the last [[sublevel]] (8) of [[Frontier Cavern]] and is in the possession of an [[Empress Bulblax]] that constantly gives birth to offspring known as [[Bulborb Larva]]e. The Rush Boots also renders the blowing attack of [[Puffy Blowhog|Puffy]] and [[Withering Blowhog]]s ineffective against captains. The ship explains both functions as the result of lowered air resistance.
