They are black in appearance, with stripes of red looping around their body in a pattern resembling that of flowing lava. They have two antennae near the top of their cone shaped bodies. The Pyroclasmic Slooch is also covered in a combustible slime which it leaves behind as it moves. When killed, the Slooch shrinks considerably and loses it's bright red stripes. It will also cease to burn, allowing all types of Pikmin to carry it. | |||

The Pikmin are stunned when thrown off, allowing the Slooch to eat them, but it has so few hit points that a team of five Pikmin are enough to kill it before it has the chance to do so. | |||
