Bogswallow are mud-dwelling [[enemy|enemies]] first discovered in the [[Primordial Thicket]] in {{p4}}. They are a very dirty yellow and have accents of brown. Atop their head are six green eyes, and their mouth is red in coloration. Bogswallow spit [[mud]] as a defensive mechanism but also to encapsulate prey so they can eat it.

The family's genus, ''Gastropoidulus'', can be split up into ''gastropoid'' and the suffix ''ulus''. The first part, ''gastropoid'', is derived from the word {{w|gastropod}}, which are most commonly slugs and snails; In this case, slugs, due to their lack of a shell.
