Some of the game's features require the player to be connected to the internet.

The timer that starts when the player begins flower planting is based on the number of petals at the start, and will always decrease. This means that the timer may go down without the petals being decreased if the player is offline, and can even reach the end without the player emptying the jar.

Niantic Kids is a kids account for Niantic Games that removes features that are not suitable for children, including:
