The '''Open Architecture''' ({{j|オープン・アーキテクチャ|Ōpun Ākitekucha|Open Architecture}}) is a treasure in the European and Japanese versions of {{p2}}; it is an open can of {{w|Maruha Nichiro|Akebono}}-brand canned salmon. It is found in the [[Citadel of Spiders]], on sublevel 3. [[Yellow Pikmin]] are rather useful here, among the [[Anode Beetle]]s and [[Swooping Snitchbug]]s. This particular [[treasure]] is most often found out in the open in one of the main rooms, easy to locate and collect once the [[enemies]] have been dealt with.

In {{p3}}, there is a can in the [[Distant Tundra]] that looks similar to the Open Architecture; it only serves as decoration. Several [[Yellow Pikmin]] are found here during the first part of the tutorial.
