Sy is a research task force recruit that is researching Pikmin ecology. His name alludes to the {{w|Siberian Husky}}. He is from the planet [[Ogura]]. He is quite talented for his age as he entered university at a "very young age"{{cite quote|He entered university at a very young age.|[[Pitunia]]|the Rescue Command Post}} and joined [[Chet]]'s research team to investigate [[PNF-404]]. When Sy landed on PNF-404, Sy did not fall unconscious, rather he began exploring but forgot to check his suit's battery which caused the suit to enter forced-sleep mode.{{cite quote|While exploring the different areas here, I got lost in my observations and forgot to check my space suit's battery.
