There are twenty red cards, twenty blue cards, and twenty yellow cards. There are also twelve promotional cards which were released in various ways. Three of the promotional cards, including Olimar, Louie, and the President, were bundled in with every copy of ''Pikmin 2'' in Japan. Two cards were given out in weekly issues of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, and another was given out in the official ''Pikmin 2'' strategy guide.
