'''Flashes of Fear''' ({{j|空を切りさく稲妻|Sora o Kirisaku Inazuma|Lightning Cutting through the Sky}}) is the [[boss]] battle [[area]] in the [[Ravaged Rustworks]]. In it, the player fights against the [[Electric Cottonade]], and obtains the [[Distinguished Speaker]].

== Plot ==
When either [[Space of Silence]] or [[Drenchnozzle Den]] are completed, a [[cutscene]] plays where the [[S.S. Dolphin II]] tells [[Captain Olimar]], inside the cockpit, that it found a large treasure, and also a fearsome beast. After the [[Distinguished Speaker]] is collected, a similar cutscene plays, with the ship announcing that it found a new [[sector]], the [[Leafswirl Lagoon]], and that it is a very windy one.

== Description ==
The area starts on top of a pipe that goes a bit to the right and up, and eventually dips down into the floor, forming a wall too tall to climb back up to. This floor makes up the boss battle arena, and it has a similar wall on the other side, with the two roughly 2 screen widths apart.

| The player falls into the arena and walks a bit forward.
| Olimar walks up to a group of [[Yellow Pikmin]] smacking a young [[Electric Cottonade]]. It eventually generates electricity and starts emitting light. As it does this, it scares the Pikmin, and flies up into the sky. Other small Cottonades eventually show up, flying upwards as well. The mature Electric Cottonade shows up from the top, surrounded by its young, and shouts with a scowl.
