*The event added the "Flower Card" type of [[Decor Pikmin]], with 24 varieties, 6 each for Red, Yellow, Blue, and Purple Pikmin.
*Pikmin with these costumes were grown from [[Golden Seedling]]s.
*The [[weekly challenge]]s during this 3-week period all gave a Golden Seedling when completed.
*The other way to get Golden Seedlings was by completing missions. When purchased from the shop, a special mission to plant 2,000 flowers of a specific color is made available. If the missions that are made available by purchasing a ticket are not completed before they expire, there is no compensation given for what was spent on the price of the ticket, and no rewards are given.

This event adds the "Jack-o'-lantern" type of [[Decor Pikmin]], which has 7 varieties, one for each type of Pikmin. If the ticket is purchased for a Community Day, completing the mission rewards a specific amount, color, and type of seasonal [[petal]]s. The flower type rewarded depends on what flower the Community Day is themed around. Community Day tickets can only be purchased with real money, and always cost $1.99 (or equivalent in other currencies). After being purchased, the mission can only be completed until the day after the Community Day weekend.
The event is divided into 2 parts. The first part starts on {{date|14|October}}, and the second part on {{date|24|October}}. In the first part:
*The main way to get Jack-o-lantern Decor Pikmin is by completing missions. There are a total of 20 missions, each requiring some amount of [[flower planting]] to complete, and each one can be unlocked by completing the previous one.
*Golden Seedlings provided by these missions can grow into Purple, White, Rock, or Winged Pikmin wearing Jack-o'-lantern Decor.
*The [[Weekly challenge]] starting in this period will also provide Golden Seedlings when completed, and these will grow into the same types of Pikmin.
*Halloween-themed [[Mii]] costumes were added to the shop at the start of the event, and will be removed at the end of the event.
*All [[postcard]]s obtained during the event will feature one of 3 special background designs.


If the ticket is purchased for a Decor Pikmin event, completing the mission rewards a colored [[Gold Seedling]] of the players choice. The type of special [[Decor Pikmin]] rewarded from the Gold Seedling depends on what Decor Pikmin type the ticket is purchased for. Event Challenge tickets always cost {{icon|Coin}} 799 coins. After being purchased, the mission has two months to be completed.
In the second part:
*All [[Mushroom challenge|mushrooms]] will be turned into Halloween-themed mushrooms. These are orange with purple spots, come in large size only, and Jack-o'-lantern Decor Pikmin are especially strong against them.
*A new set of 20 missions will be introduced, themed around destroying these mushrooms, and completing each mission will give a Golden Seedling that can grow into a Red, Yellow, or Blue Pikmin wearing Jack-o'-lantern Decor.
*These missions can be attempted alongside the missions from the first part.
*The two [[weekly challenge]]s starting in this period will also provide Golden Seedlings when completed, and these will grow any of the 7 types of Jack-o'-lantern Decor Pikmin.

There are also Special Completion Tickets, which unlock a series of missions when purchased from the shop. The missions consist of walking a certain amount of steps, planting a certain amount of flowers, and destroying a certain amount of [[Mushroom battle|mushrooms]]. Each mission that is completed grants a Gold Seedling of a specific type of special [[Decor Pikmin]], and completing all the missions guarantees the whole set of Decor Pikmin is obtained. The ticket does not have a set price. After being purchased, the missions have two months to be completed. If any missions are not completed, the Gold Seedlings from the uncompleted missions are not rewarded.
