Editing Event/Event Challenges

'''Event Challenges''' are a type of month-long event that have taken place every month since May 2023. The current Event Challenge and the players current progress on the missions can be viewed by clicking on the "Event Challenge" tab. This tab displays a green tile featuring a big flower at its center, with a circular track arranged around the big flower, which is split into four sections. Beneath this, missions are shown with various requirements for completion; steps taken, flowers planted, Pikmin grown, petals plucked, expeditions done, or mushrooms destroyed. The player's [[Mii]] is displayed marching upon the track, and will advance as missions are completed, leaving a trail of flowers behind them. As each of the four sections is completed, new missions will be presented, and the [[Big Flower]] in the center will grow through its phases; from a few tiny shoots at first, to a sprout, then a bud, and finally into a bloomed Big Flower once the challenge stage is completed. Upon completion, the challenge stage will advance, awarding the player a [[Gold Seedling]] of the event's Special [[Decor Pikmin]] and placing them upon a new track with a new Big Flower to grow. There are four challenge stages in total, each with their own missions, and each event's missions vary slightly. Upon completing the fourth stage, the player will reset to the first stage and restart the process.

When a mission is completed, tapping its entry will bring the player to a roulette screen displaying six items, with one of the player's Pikmin beneath. These items range from various types of [[petal]]s, items such as [[mushroom recharge ticket]]s, [[#Event Currency|event currency]] for the current event, or a Huge or Gold Seedling of the event's Special Decor Pikmin. Tapping will cause the item roulette to begin revolving, and tapping again will cause the roulette to slow, stopping as the Pikmin jumps and taps the winning block, with the Pikmin waving happily as the prize is displayed. If the player does not tap the second time, this process will eventually conclude on its own. ==Premium Event Pass==

The Premium Event Pass is a unique item available in the [[shop]] during nearly all Event Challenges since the [[#2023 Fingerboard Decor Pikmin|2023 Fingerboard Decor Pikmin Event]]. Only players [[Level#Pikmin Bloom|Level 20]] and above are able to purchase the pass. It always costs {{icon|Coin}} 999 coins, and features the same benefits. It is a one-time purchase, and the benefits only apply to the event during which the pass is purchased.

*Choosing a special Colored [[Gold Seedling]] for a specific type of Decor Pikmin after clearing all 4 stages of the event missions.

*Getting extra seasonal [[Nectar#In Pikmin Bloom |nectar]] when each stage of the event mission is cleared, with a total of 160 nectar after all 4 stages.

*If the pass is purchased within the first week of the event, a bonus of 500 [[#Event Currency|event currency]] for the current event is given as a bonus.

During all Event Challenges since the [[#2023 Halloween Event|2023 Halloween Event]], [[Mushroom battle|mushrooms]] have rewarded Mystery Boxes once defeated. Since the [[#2024 Lunar New Year Event|2024 Lunar New Year Event]], Mystery Boxes are only rewarded when completing a battle against an [[Mushroom battle#Event mushrooms|event mushroom]]. These boxes always appear at the completion of a battle, after viewing the total score. The rewards that Mystery Boxes contain varies between Event Challenges, and some events have had unique designs or types of Mystery Boxes.

The rewards change slightly between Event Challenges, but always consist of either [[seedling|Huge or Gold Seedlings]] for a specific type of [[Decor Pikmin]], [[#Event Currency|event currency]], [[petal]]s, [[Nectar#In Pikmin Bloom|nectar]], or any of the items that are available in the [[shop]]. There are usually two types of Mystery Boxes, and the rarer types consist of more valuable rewards, such as Seedlings or high amounts of Event Currency.

Event Currency has no use outside of it’s respective event, and is only used to progress through a mission list to obtain [[Mii]] parts and [[Gold Seedling]]s. The missions progress automatically as currency is collected.

====Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin====

The Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin Event Challenge took place from {{date|14|August}} at 00:00 until {{date|10|September|2023}} at 23:59 local time. *This Event Challenge introduced the [[Decor Pikmin#Mahjong Tile|Mahjong Tile]] Special Decor Pikmin type. These Decor Pikmin wear mahjong tiles on their bodies, with a different tile for each type of Pikmin. There are 2 different tiles for all Pikmin types, with a total of 14 new Decor Pikmin. Each set of 7 Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin were obtained through different methods during the different parts of the event.

*The first set of Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin could be obtained from [[Seedling|Huge or Gold Seedling]]s from Event Challenge missions.

*[[Mushroom battle#Mysterious mushrooms|Mystery mushrooms]] were added, coming only in the "Normal" size. Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin had a much higher attack power than other Pikmin. All mushrooms were converted to these mushrooms at the start of the event, and continued to appear throughout the event.

*A new set of limited-time missions were introduced with a focus on destroying mushrooms. Clearing each mission gave a [[Mii#Tops|Mahjong themed T-shirt]], with three total to obtain.

*Defeating a mushroom would grant the player a [[#Mystery Boxes|Mystery Box]] once completed, using the Default Mystery Box designs.

*[[Decor Pikmin#Jack-o.27-Lantern|Jack-o'-Lantern]] Decor Pikmin from the [[Event/Decor Pikmin events#2022 Halloween Event|2022 Halloween Event]] were also available to obtain through Seedlings from [[#Mystery Boxes|Mystery Boxes]].

* This Event Challenge introduced [[#Event Currency|Event Currency]] to the Event Challenge system. The design of Event Currency for this event was ''Halloween Candy''.

*Special Mission Tickets, an Event Challenge Special Pack, Halloween Gift Packs, and both new and returning [[Mii]] costumes were available in the [[shop]] for the duration of the event.

* During the Event Challenge, Jack-o'-lantern and Halloween Treat Decor Pikmin were stronger against [[Mushroom battle|mushrooms]], gaining an additional 25 points of attack power.

* [[Mushroom battle#Halloween mushrooms|Halloween mushrooms]] were reintroduced, coming in both "Normal" and "Giant" sizes. Jack-o'-Lantern Decor Pikmin had a much higher attack power than other Pikmin, and Halloween Treat Decor Pikmin had an even higher attack power. All mushrooms were converted to these mushrooms at the start of the event, and continued to appear throughout the event.

* On most weekends during the Event Challenge, Giant Halloween Mushrooms appeared. When defeated, they dropped a Rare Mystery Box.

* Defeating a Halloween mushroom would grant the player a [[#Mystery Boxes|Mystery Box]] once completed, using the Halloween Mystery Box designs.

** Rewards from Mystery Boxes consisted of [[#Event Currency|Event Currency]] or [[Seedling]]s for Jack-o'-Lantern Decor Pikmin.

** [[Postcard]]s obtained from destroying Halloween Mushrooms featured special Halloween themed background and stamp designs.

* The [[#Premium Event Pass|Premium Event Pass]] was available for {{icon|Coin}} 999 coins in the [[shop]] and featured the same perks as usual.  

** This Event Challenge introduced two changes to the Premium Event Pass that stayed for all future Event Challenges. Players [[Level#Pikmin Bloom|Level 20]] and above were now able to purchase the pass, instead of Level 50, and purchasing the pass within the first week of the Event Challenge granted high amounts of Event Currency as a bonus.

These Decor Pikmin carry puzzle pieces which make up a 9-piece puzzle of the loading screens from November 2021 and 2022, with a unique design for each type of Pikmin. There were two sets of Puzzle Decor Pikmin, named Puzzle: 2022 Summer Memories and Puzzle: 2021 Fall Memories.
