It is the first treasure that can be collected in ''[[Pikmin 2]]'', and is found partially buried in the [[Valley of Repose]]. Upon retrieval, [[Hocotate ship|the ship]] is satisfied with the day's work and the first day is completed. While [[Louie]] discovers this treasure first, he needs to reunite with [[Olimar]] before it can be lifted and salvaged.
The '''Courage Reactor''' is really a D [[Wikipedia:Duracell|Duracell]] battery. It is the first treasure that can be collected in [[Pikmin 2]], it is found partially buried in the [[Valley of Repose]]. Upon retrieval the ship is satisfied with your days work and you complete the first day. Despite being found by [[Louie]], both [[Olimar]] and Louie are needed to collect this. To retrieve it, you need to gather all the [[pellets]] in the area, including the [[Dwarf Red Bulborb]]. After you obtain 20 [[Pikmin Family|Pikmin]], then just have them dig it out of the ground and carry it to the ship.


The text on the side contains a paragraph informing the user that the battery cannot be recharged, and that the polarity of the battery should be respected. These instructions are written in Italian, French, German and English, in that order. The full text reads:
In the Japanese Pikmin 2, it is replaced with a "National High Top" battery, a Japanese brand of battery.
