Every game in the {{ps}} can be '''completed''' in varying degrees. Some players may consider their play time completed after just beating [[Story Mode]], while others may want to finish everything the game has to offer. The following is a list of completion goals that exist in every game. Some of these objectives are acknowledged by the game, and unlock new content or mark something in the player's stats, while others consist of subjective goals that, in general, most players would consider part of "100%" completion of a game.

;Reach an ending
{{p1}} has 3 endings: the bad ending, reached by playing all 30 [[day]]s without collecting all mandatory ship parts, the good ending, reached by collecting at least the 25 mandatory [[ship part]]s by the end of the 30 days, and the best ending, reached by collecting all 30 ship parts.

;Collect all ship parts

Getting all 30 [[ship part]]s is the main way that ''Pikmin''{{'s}} [[Story Mode]] can be completed.

;Complete all Challenge Mode stages
Since each stage has a maximum number of Pikmin that can possibly be grown, it is possible to complete [[Challenge Mode (Pikmin)|Challenge Mode]] by getting the maximum score on each stage. However, The Distant Spring is nearly-impossible to complete in this manner, as described [[The Distant Spring#In Challenge Mode|here]].

;Collect all treasures
''Pikmin 2''{{'s}} second main completion goal and ending occurs when all 201 [[treasure]]s have been collected. Much like getting 10,000 Pokos, reaching this goal causes the current day to end via a fanfare and [[Cutscene#Treasure Completion Cinema|special cinematic]] when the goal is reached and the player is also above ground. This also fully completes the [[Treasure Hoard]].

;Completing the Piklopedia
By interacting with or defeating all the creatures (depending on the entry), it is possible to unlock all 81 entries in the [[Piklopedia (Pikmin 2)|Piklopedia]].

;Complete all Challenge Mode stages

On top of clearing all 30 [[Challenge Mode (Pikmin 2)|Challenge Mode]] stages, the player can also beat each one with a pink flower (which is done by completing the stage with no Pikmin deaths), thus effectively completing Challenge Mode. Doing this unlocks [[Louie's Dark Secret|a secret cutscene]].

{{p3}}{{'s}} ending occurs when the [[Plasm Wraith]] is defeated in the [[Formidable Oak]]. There are [[Pikmin 3#Endings|4 variants]] of the ending, and which is seen depends on how many fruits are collected.

;Collect all fruits
The best ending occurs when all 66 [[fruit]]s are collected. This is the standard way of completing ''Pikmin 3''{{'s}} [[Story Mode]].

;Story Mode 100%
In addition to collecting all fruits, Story Mode can be fully completed by collecting all [[data file]]s and [[gear]].

;Get all badges
In {{p3d}} exclusively, there are 50 [[badge (Pikmin 3 Deluxe)|badge]]s that can be unlocked by completing various tasks in each of the game modes.

;Complete all Mission Mode stages
Playing all 36 [[Mission Mode]] stages at least once records each stage as having been attempted. In the original ''Pikmin 3'', this requires purchasing the [[DLC]].

;All platinum medals in Mission Mode

Getting a platinum medal in both single-player and co-op on all 36 Mission Mode stages effectively completes the mode.

;Complete Olimar's Assignment

;Complete Olimar's Comeback
Reaching the end of all 10 days in [[Olimar's Comeback]] reaches the ending of the Side Story.

;All platinum medals in the Side Stories
Getting a platinum medal on all 14 [[Side Stories]] stages effectively completes the mode.

;All Bingo Battle stages
Unlocking all 12 [[Bingo Battle]] stages by completing the previous stage, and unlocking all variants of all stages by playing each one at least 3 times, effectively completes the mode.

;Rescue Olimar
The primary ending of ''Pikmin 4'', being the ending that reaches the game credits, involves rescuing [[Captain Olimar]].

;Cure Oatchi
After returning to the planet to cure [[Oatchi]]'s tail, a few more areas are left to investigate, along with the final [[boss]] battle.

;Clear all main missions
Clearing all [[Mission (Pikmin 4)#Main Missions|mission]]s involves rescuing every [[castaway]] (and curing all [[leafling]]s), collecting all [[treasure]]s, and obtaining all [[Onion]]s and [[Flarlic]].

;Clear all side missions
Besides the things mentioned before, clearing all [[Mission (Pikmin 4)#Side Missions|side mission]]s involves getting all of Oatchi's skills, buying all [[gear]], completing the [[Piklopedia (Pikmin 4)|Piklopedia]], getting a platinum medal in all [[Dandori Challenge]]s, a platinum medal in all [[Dandori Battle]]s, defeating 1000 enemies, retrieving all of [[Louie]]'s ingredients, and [[raw material|building]] all structures. This does not include "Make the World Bloom" and "Grow the Pikmin Population", as these missions renew every time their goal is met and thus can't be cleared.

;Get all platinum medals in Trial of the Sage Leaf
The medal obtained in each sublevel of the [[Trial of the Sage Leaf]] is recorded, and it's possible to get a platinum medal on all of them.

;Unlock all standalone Dandori Battle stages
[[Dandori Battle]]s from the standalone "Dandori Battle mode" option on the title screen have a few different stages that need to be unlocked by playing the stage before them.

;Unlock all gallery videos
On the title screen, there is a "gallery" option that allows the player to re-watch [[cutscene]]s. Some need to be unlocked.

;Get all platinum medals in both 1-player mode and 2-player mode
This makes 2 medals appear when selecting a Dandori [[Dandori Challenge|Challenge]] or [[Dandori Battle|Battle]]

==''Hey! Pikmin''==
;Defeat the final boss
{{hp}}{{'s}} ending occurs when the [[Berserk Leech Hydroe]] is defeated. In order to do this, the player must first collect 30000 [[Sparklium]] and reach the end of the [[Lushlife Murk]] to unlock the final area, [[Fragment of Hope]].

;Complete all areas
Reaching the end of all 49 areas (including the [[Secret exit|secret areas]], which requires completing some areas twice) and completing all regular [[Secret Spot]]s will mark every level as being cleared on the [[area selection menu]].

;Collect all regular treasures
Getting all 125 regular [[treasure]]s will fill the [[Hey! Pikmin logs#Treasure Log|Treasure Log]].

;Collect all treasures
''Hey! Pikmin'' also has 41 [[amiibo]] treasures, but the only way to get them all is to have all of the corresponding amiibo, or the Pikmin amiibo.

;Complete the logs
Completing the [[Hey! Pikmin logs|logs]] requires collecting all 166 [[treasure]]s, encountering all 57 [[Enemy|enemies]], and unlocking all types of [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] and [[pellet]]s.

;Complete all areas with all Pikmin and no deaths

Completing an area while gathering all 20 Pikmin in it and also without having any Pikmin die there will place a gold Pikmin badge on the level in the [[area selection menu]]. If this is done for all areas, the [[saved game selection menu]] will also have a gold Pikmin badge on that save file.
