The main use of coins is in the [[shop]], where coins can be exchanged for in-game items, and coins can be bought with real-world money. Coins can be obtained during gameplay through [[flower planting]].

== Getting coins ==
The fastest way to get coins is to buy them with real-world money in the [[shop]] or the [[Pikmin Bloom Web Store|web store]]. Coins in the shop can be purchased in packs of 100, 550, 1,200, 2,500, 5,000, 12,500, and 27,500 coins. Coin in the web store can be purchased in packs of 1,250, 1,600, 2,600, 5,400, 15,000, and 35,000 coins.

It is also possible to obtain coins in gameplay, through [[flower planting]]. One coin will be obtained for every 250 flowers planted in a session, up to a maximum of 60 coins per day.

== History ==
* Several [[event]]s have changed the availability of coins. They typically changed the coin-to-flower ratio from 1:500 to 1:250 for the duration of the event.

* On {{date|8|June|2022}}, a server-side update permanently changed the standard coin-to-flower ratio from 1:500 to 1:250.

* On {{date|23|May|2023}}, [[update]] 70.0 introduced a new coin pack of 34,000 coins to the [[shop]].

* On {{date|11|November|2024}}, the amount of coins included in some coin bundles available for purchase in the shop were reduced. The bundle with 5,200 coins was reduced to 5,000, the bundle with 14,500 coins was reduced to 12,500, and the bundle with 34,000 coins was reduced to 27,500.
