I am still not convinced the Pikmin inside the Bulborb is orange, the motion blur the throwing cursor etc surely are all orange because of the Bulborbs orange body. The stem also seems to be part of the bulborbs body which the Pikmin has stretched over itself, the only part of the Pikmin exposed to the environment is its leaf which it needs to photosynthesis or whatever Pikmin do with it.
